Role of the Camping Director

Overview

Research and find interesting, affordable places to hold camps and co-ordinate these

Duties

  • Make bookings for camps
  • Organise payments, deposits etc. Treasurer handles all monies. Members attending camp send their payment directly to the Treasurer
  • Notify Treasurer all details concerning amount of deposit required, which members and their children will be attending etc.
  • Member booking and waiting lists to be recorded
  • Send relevant information to members attending camps, e.g. where it is; how much it costs; what to take; rules of the camp etc.
  • Record expenditures for reimbursement from the Treasurer, e.g. stamps, phone calls, photo copying. Keep all receipts for presentation to Treasurer
  • Advise State Camping Director of any bookings you make
  • Attend Branch Meetings. Report all camping information to committee. Discuss camp venues with committee before making any bookings
